Change of address in Singapore after moving: ICA, utilities, banks
Change of address in Singapore after you move: update ICA within 28 days online with Singpass, then utilities, banks, insurers and more.
Updated 2 min read

Your change of address after moving comes with one legal deadline and a list of people to tell. Here's the order to do it in.
1. ICA, within 28 days (required)
Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents with an IC must report a change of residential address to ICA within 28 days of moving in. It's done online through ICA's e-Service with Singpass, and there's no fee. You can apply for yourself or for family members who live with you; they then confirm the change.
Not reporting a change of address within 28 days is an offence, so do this first. If you have trouble with the e-Service, ICA's page explains how to get help.
If you move overseas, ICA's page also explains what applies to you, and the Elections Department explains how to stay on the register of electors.
2. Utilities
- Electricity and water: open the account for the new address and close or transfer the old one with SP Services, ideally before you move.
- Gas (if your flat has piped gas): arrange with the gas supplier.
- Internet and mobile: move or set up your broadband, and update your billing address with your telco.
3. Money and insurance
- Banks and credit cards: update your address in each bank's app or website.
- Insurers: health, life, car and home policies. If you've moved home, check that your home insurance now covers the new address.
- Investment and brokerage accounts.
4. Work, school and health
- Your employer's HR records.
- Your children's schools and childcare.
- Your family doctor, dentist and any regular clinic.
5. Everyday services
- Online shopping accounts and saved delivery addresses.
- Food delivery and ride-hailing apps.
- Subscriptions and memberships that post things to you.

Use ICA's online e-Service with Singpass. There's no fee. You can apply for yourself or for a group of family members who live with you, who then confirm the change.

No. Private organisations such as banks, insurers, telcos and online shops keep their own records, so update each of them yourself.
